First Saturday

The Pit Crew kit · ages 6–15

The Pit Lane

Drive it Saturday. Wrench on it Sunday. Beat your time forever.

The trap with RC is buying a toy-store car that can’t be repaired — it breaks, it’s over. This is a hobby-grade truck with parts availability, because breaking and fixing IS the hobby. Every session ends with a timed lap.

Fair questions

Why not a cheaper toy-store RC car?
Because when it breaks — and they all break — a toy-grade car is landfill, and a hobby-grade one is a repair project. The repair project is where the dad-kid part lives.
Won’t they crash it immediately?
Yes. Session one includes a throttle-limiting setting and a crash budget. Crashing is data.
